Barb Narkaus began painting Northwest Golf Courses as a natural extension of both her love of landscape painting and her interest in golf & sports.
The Pacific Golf Art Gallery is the home of her originals and limited edition prints. The gallery is located in the Elsinore Gallery @ 444 Ferry St. SE in Salem and features Barb's work as well as work by artists Larry Dyke, Bart Forbes, and other golf and sports artists.

Salem, OR artist Barbara Narkaus has painted five Par-3 Signature Golf Holes for the Bridges Resort at Rancho Santa Fe. Although Barb's work has primarily featured northwest courses, when the opportunity was presented to travel to Southern California, she was very enthused about participating in the project.
"The Bridges is a fantastic and challenging course and the paintings were also a bit of a challenge. The landscape and terrain were certainly different than I'm used to here in Oregon."
The artwork was created for the "Battle of the Bridges" Golf tournament which paired Tiger Woods with Ernie Els against Phil Mickelson and Sergio Garcia. A special edition canvas of the 13th tournament hole was presented to each of the players.
The five Par-3 prints are available to hole in one winners at the course. There are also a few Artist Proof copies available at the gallery. This was the largest single project for Barb and certainly the biggest exposure for her work. And of course, meeting the players was a great thrill for the Narkaus family.
Larry Dyke is one of the most successful and acclaimed artists of his generation. He paints powerful landscapes inspired by his deep, personal belief in Christ and his frequent travels to domestic, international, and exotic locales. In his paintings, the artist captures not only the great outdoors, but the spiritual sense of perfection he views as God’s handiwork. Each painting Dyke creates carries a related Bible verse below his signature. Dyke states, “When I became a full-time artist, I was impressed to put a scriptural notation on each of my paintings. It’s an expression of what I think the true answer to life is.”
The artist paints his beloved state of Texas, but he also creates scenes from his many travels that have featured the countryside of the northeast to the hills of Tennessee to the rugged landscape of California. In addition to his Golf imagery. he also has created extraordinary paintings of world-renowned waterfalls and rain forests in Africa and South America. Dyke’s paintings are represented by several well-known galleries and his paintings hang in the homes of celebrities, corporations, and even The Vatican. The artist is currently working on a project for a national Christian organization. He is interpreting the seven days of creation in the extraordinary, detailed style that is his trademark.
