SALEM, OR ARTIST BARB NARKAUS HAS PAINTED 5 NEW PAR 3 SIGNATURE GOLF HOLES FOR THE BRIDGES AT RANCHO SANTA FE. ALTHOUGH BARB HAS FOCUSSED PRIMARILY ON THE NORTHWEST GOLF COURSES, WHEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO TRAVEL TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA CAME UP, SHE WAS VERY ENTHUSED ABOUT THE PROJECT. "THE BRIDGES IS A FANTASTIC AND CHALLENGING COURSE AND THE PAINTINGS WERE ALSO A BIT OF A CHALLENGE. THE LANDSCAPE AND TERRAIN WERE CERTAINLY DIFFERENT THAN I'M USED TO HERE IN OREGON." THE ARTWORK WAS CREATED FOR THE NEWLY ESTABLISHED "BATTLE OF THE BRIDGES" GOLF TOURNAMENT. THIS TOURNAMENT FEATURED TIGER WOODS PAIRED WITH ERNIE ELS AGAINST PHIL MICKELSON AND SERGIO GARCIA. A SPECIAL EDITION CANVAS OF THE 13TH TOURNAMENT HOLE WAS PRESENTED TO EACH OF THE FOUR PLAYERS FOR THEIR PERSONAL COLLECTIONS. THE FIVE PAR 3 PRINTS ARE AVAILABLE TO HOLE IN ONE WINNERS AT THE COURSE. A VERY FEW ARTIST PROOFS WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE LOCALLY. THIS WAS THE LARGEST PROJECT FOR BARB AND CERTAINLY THE BIGGEST EXPOSURE FOR HER ARTWORK.

The Golf Art of Larry Dyke     Larry Dyke is one of the most successful and acclaimed artists of his generation. He paints powerful landscapes inspired by his deep, personal belief in Christ and his frequent travels to domestic, international, and exotic locales. In his paintings, the artist captures not only the great outdoors, but the spiritual sense of perfection he views as God’s handiwork. Each painting Dyke creates carries a related Bible verse below his signature. Dyke states, “When I became a full-time artist, I was impressed to put a scriptural notation on each of my paintings.
