Barb has been involved in the arts for over 30 years and is one of the owners of the Elsinore Framing & Fine Art Gallery in Salem.  As part of the gallery, she opened Barb Narkaus Studios which features her landscape, vineyard and NW signature golf-hole paintings.  She began exploring the Golf Landscape genre with her original release of the 5th at Creekside Golf in 1995 and this collection has grown to include over 25 different courses in the Northwest and an exciting project with the Battle of the Bridges Tournament in 2003.

For this event, she painted 5 scenes that were released as limited edition prints.     A limited canvas was presented by Barb to each of the players: Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, Sergio Garcia and Phil Mickelson.  Other golf celebrities to collect her work include Arnold Palmer and Peter Jacobsen.

Barb enjoys combining her love of nature and landscape painting with her interest in golf and her passion for education.  Through Barb Narkaus Studios and Pacific Golf Art, she has been able to create a significant body of limited edition prints and posters including three golf scenes that have been nationally published by Bentley Publishing Group.

In addition to her work with golf art, she also has created paintings for the Salem Keizer Volcanoes, the Hoopla tournament and the Oregon law Enforcement Memorial.  She has also been featured as the artist for Keizer Iris Festival, the Oregon Wine & Food Festival and other local events.  Her work has been used to raise support for local and national groups like M.D.A. and National Kidney Foundation, Liberty House, and others.

Barb continues to create and evolve as an artist, most recently working on paintings featuring trees and landscapes with a fresh palette of color and textures.  Her work in the golf landscape genre will also continue as her ultimate goal is creating 100 golf course paintings in the Northwest.
