“Tragic Glory” seems like a contradictory title but it represents both the beauty and destructive power of the fire which destroyed the capitol building in Salem in 1935. This photograph was recreated in this stunning poster in 1985 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of this fateful day. The open edition print is signed by then Governor John Kitzhaber.
