Diane Trevett – Short Bio and Photo
I am inspired by botanical life and nature subjects such as plants, flowers, leaves, petals, and buds, as well as seashells and landforms/landscapes. I am fascinated by their unique form and hidden details and use the final composition to enhance these qualities. As I depart from realistic representation, abstraction and stylization emerge. My nuanced brushwork and line rendering are considered expressive with movement. For painting I work primarily in oil, but also use acrylic, and for drawing I use pastel or charcoal.
I have been a professional artist for over 40 years and earned a BFA degree in studio art at Southern Oregon University. I am a member of the artist cooperatives Lunaria Gallery, the Artists in Action Gallery, Bush Barn Art Gallery, the Elsinore Framing and Fine Art Gallery, and Greenspace Design by Jude.
